Eggless Orange Cake | Cake In Pan (Kadahi) 

This flavorful orange cake is Eggless, made without oven and any cake pan. This cake is so soft, Moist and delicious made with fresh orange juice. i shared the ORANGE CAKE recipe before on the Blog but that is made in oven.




How To Prepare

Preparation is really simple and easy like any other cake. take all dry ingredients and run through sieve. add in wet ingredients one by one and mix. Pour in prepared tin and bake.

i have used fresh orange juice in this recipe and added tutti frutti in the batter for that fruity bite.

you can whip up some cream by using heavy whipping cream add little sugar and orange essence for orange flavor. you can add zest as well i skip that in this recipe. just kept it really simple.

Orange Cake


Ingredients
  • 1 cup all purpose flour(maida)
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 4 tbsp thick curd (dahi)
  • 1/4 cup oil
  • 1 tsp orange essence
  • 1 tbsp tutti frutti
  • 1/2 cup orange juice
  • 1 tsp orange zest
  • 1/2 cup salt to bake (optional)
  • 1 small Vessel (पतीला)
Ingredients For Cream
  • 1/2 cup Heavy whipping cream/Amul cream
  • 1/2 tsp orange essence
  • 3 tbsp sugar 
Method
  1. prepare any steel small vessel (पतीला) by applying oil and dusting some flour, tap off extra flour, keep aside.
  2. Heat a kadahi or heavy bottom pan on medium heat, add 1/2 cup salt so that the pan or kadahi don't burn.
  3. first sieve all purpose flour, baking powder, baking soda, mix well.
  4. now in a bowl mix curd and granulated sugar together till sugar dissolves, add orange essence, oil, curd, orange juice and orange zest. 
  5. add dry ingredients to wet gradually and mix so that there are no lumps.
  6. add tutti frutti if you like, give a quick mix.
  7. pour prepared batter in to a prepared vessel, keep a wired rack or steel plate underneath to give it a height.
  8. cover and cook on medium heat for 25-30 minutes.
  9. once done let it cool.
  10. Now in a bowl add whipping cream, orange essence and sugar, whip until it reaches soft peaks.
  11. once done, cut the cake in half and spread prepared cream evenly.
  12. spread on top of the cake add orange slices and some golden sprinklers.
  13. cut and enjoy.
